Apple is known for being quiet about what internal specifications its iPhones have, despite going on and on about the kind of finish on the aluminium body or the wealth of features they supposedly possess.
However a filing on Tenaa, China’s version of US telecom regulator FCC, now confirms that the iPhone X has 3GB of Ram and a 2716mAh battery, as reported by OnLeaks on Twitter.
That 3GB of RAM isn’t too great at all, it’s the same amount of memory in the iPhone 8 Plus. In fact, it’s less than most other Android flagships in the market, which are usually at least 4GB of RAM. However, that might not be much of an issue given that their processor and software are tweaked to handle computational load on the phone without taking a hit.
The 2716mAh battery however is somewhat surprising for the iPhone X. It has more power to offer than the iPhone 8 Plus 2691mAh, though it’s physically smaller than the battery in the 8 Plus. It’s also not the largest battery put into an iPhone, that title goes to the iPhone 7 Plus, which has a 2900mAh battery.
Hopefully, Apple has made up the difference with its optimisation, seeing as they’re claiming the iPhone X will last “up to two hours longer than the iPhone 7.
