If you are a hardcore Pokemon Go fan who's always in the search of Pokemon, then this new-found tool is just for you. A developer has found a way to use Google Maps to show the location of all the Pokemon, gyms, and items at individual Pokestops.
The developer Ahmed Almutawa, as per a post on Reddit, was able to take out the raw data from the augmented reality game and lay it out on Google Maps. The developer also posted the project on GitHub.
However, for now, the tool is not for everyone. Users need to follow step-by-step instructions and even have to open the command line, something which everyone may not be able to. For the experienced ones, going through the instructions will give them access to the Google Maps with a top view of all the Pokemons, gyms, Pokestops and more from anywhere around the world. It is also possible to filter the map to only show the Pokestops or specific Pokemons. The complete details can be found on the Reddit post .
Almutawa said that he along with some other developers is making a more user-friendly map along with a simple interface to use the tool without opening the command line.
Since it's a hack, the developer has also warned that the game developer, Niantic, might block the tool in future.
Recently, two hacker groups claimed to have taken several servers of Pokemon Go offline using DDoS attacks.
