Samsung on Thursday launched Galaxy J3 smartphone with S Bike mode at an attractive price of Rs. 8,990, which will be available exclusively through Snapdeal.
South Korean multinational conglomerate has introduced the smartphone to target millions of bike users in India who cannot take calls while riding. The device features an NFC tag, which when paired with the phone serves as a call assistant for bikers.
Addressing the media, Senior Vice President, Samsung India Electronics, Asim Warsi said, “The phone is offering specific features built to suit the resonance in several developing markets where Samsung operates.”
Amongst one the features, Galaxy J3 (6) is touting ‘S Bike Mode’, which once enabled automatically replies to calls with pre-recorded messages in 14 languages. Riders can also mark a few contacts as important, so that they can be notified even while riding.
The Galaxy J3 (6) variant launched in India features dual-SIM support with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) Super Amoled display.
The handset is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It packs 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Galaxy J3 features the Samsung TouchWiz UI on top.
Talking about the camera specifications, the smartphone sports an eight-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash along with a five-megapixel front-facing camera.
Apart from 4G (with support for Indian 4G bands), other connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB. The handset is backed by a 2,600 mAh battery.
