Apple Watch 2 rumours are back. The latest come from none other than KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo, widely known for his proven track record in predicting Apple's product plans.
- To be unveiled at WWDC 2016
According to Kuo, the new Apple Watch will be unveiled at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference likely to take place between June 13-17 in San Francisco.
- Updated internal components
Kuo claims that Apple Watch 2 will sport updated internal components. He, however, did not share any details on what the 'improved internal components' of the second-generation watch might be.
- No design refresh
According to Kuo's research note, Apple fans expecting a design refresh like thinner profile will have to wait till 2017. For, he claims that the 2016 Apple Watch will feature "spec improvements with limited changes to form factor design."
- To be an 'S' update
Kuo believes that Apple Watch's 2016 edition will be much like the iPhone tick-tock upgrade schedule, with an 'S' update. And just like the 'S' update in iPhones, this one too will focus on specifications upgrade rather than a design over haul
- To fix Apple Watch's two biggest issues
Kuo also claims that Apple Watch 2 will offer improved performance and battery life -- two of the biggest issues with the current model.
