Best earphones for your smartphone under Rs 3,500...

I'm looking for durable earphonesheadphones to use along with my smartphone in a budget of Rs 3,500. Please help.:

For earphones, we suggest Bluetooth models, which connect wirelessly to your phone. Here you can choose between the Bluedio Q5 (Rs 1,350), the CrossBeats QY8 (Rs 1,600) and the Soundpeats QY7 (Rs 1,900). All these sport a sweatproof build, a tangle-free cable between the earbuds, a mic that can be used to answer calls at the touch of a button on the right bud. They come with a charging cable, silicone ear hooks to keep the buds in place, and soft ear tips in three sizes for wearing comfort. You can expect anything between 5 to 7 hours of playback on a single charge.

While the Bluedio Q5 are the cheapest of the lot, they pump out stronger bass, while - comparatively - the CrossBeats and the Soundpeats are capable of more balanced sound.

For headphones, look at the...

  • House of Marley Harambe (Rs 2,000) and House of Marley Positive Vibration (Rs 3,000)

Regardless of which of these two headphones you choose, you get a pair that's stylishly designed, durable, and with a fair amount of recycled materials and fabric used in its build.
The sound from these cans is well balanced, and you also get a corded cable with an inline microphone for phone calls. Between the Harambe and Positive Vibration, it's really a choice of what 'look' you'd prefer.
  • Urbanears Plattan (Rs 3,000)

One of our personal favourites, the Plattan comes with a detachable fabric headband for easy wash and wear, and you also get what UrbanEars calls a ZoundPlug socket. This means you can plug another pair of headphones in via the empty outlet on the ear cap to share your music. Of course, it also comes with a detachable corded cable with an inline mic.

  • Urbanears Tanto (Rs 3,000)

If you like old-school headphones -- with a thin metal headband -- like you used to get with the Walkman in the 1980s, then check out the Tanto. This pair promises superb sound and comes with a corded cable with an inline mic for clear phone calls.

  • Philips O'Neill SHO9565BK10 Stretch (Rs 3,100)

The Stretch's headband is made of a highgrade nylon (TR55) polymer that makes it extremely stretchable and bendable.Plus you get a corded cable with an inline mic to answer phone calls. The cans itself are packed with large 40mm drivers for clear, loud sound. Besides, it also looks good.
