Xiaomi appears to be readying its own compact flagship smartphone in response to the recently announced 4-inch iPhone SE. A leaked image of a mystery 4.3-inch smartphone with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor has been spotted on the Chinese website Weibo.
The smartphone appears to be a smaller variant of the original Mi 5 flagship, which will be unveiled in India on March 31. The company hasn’t yet confirmed a smaller Mi 5 in the making, though leaked image bears a striking resemblance to a Xiaomi smartphone with a physical home button just like the Xiaomi Mi5. According to GizChina, the smartphone is expected to get a 4.3-inch HD display, a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage and a 13-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The handset is also expected to get a fingerprint scanner.
